This is an average show for this time period. However, because August 1993 was one of the best months of playing in Phish's career, this show is still excellent. The first highlight of the show is It's Ice. In a month full of great versions of It's Ice, this one is right up there with the best of them. The show has a good amount of bluegrass, which I love, and it gets its first dose in the following Nellie Kane. August 1993 was definitely a high point for SOAM. This version is not the best of the month, but it's a great version, nonetheless. The acoustic version of The Horse is very nice. Trey's acoustic guitar would be making another appearance later on in the show. The set ending run of Uncle Pen, Maze, and Golgi Apparatus works well, but Maze is especially good. Overall, a very strong first set.

Set 2 opens with Llama which starts the set off with great energy. Horn is performed well and Trey's solo is beautiful as usual. Ya Mar is very fun, with some humorous alternate lyrics from Mike. The following Mike's Song is great, and the transition into the acoustic Ginseng Sullivan features about 45 seconds of a simple, yet uplifting jam. I think this Ginseng Sullivan is a gem just because of the little jam in the beginning. Weekapaug starts strongly, but I think it loses steam by the middle and it meanders into Wilson. Suzy Greenberg is above average, as Trey teases Tweezer at every chance he gets. Antelope ends the second set nicely, and the double encore is a great capper to a very good show.
