you can add these dates into the ranker yourself

And there is some lag between adding at Ranker and seeing an update in the widget. Don't worry it's there.

I added some too. I guess if there's overlap, it'll recognize that? All the ones I added were in the specified format.

I also added pictures related to the places they were played (because I have no life). Prague's famous Astronomical Clock...the Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen's harbor...etc.

Denver got the now somewhat infamous CO state flag. Hope it isn't blocking anyone's view...haha!

Hi all - I'm the Ranker founder. The widget are cached (i think 5mins but will followup if I'm wrong there) so changes don't show in "true realtime" unless they happen right before the cache is refreshed. We're noticing another bug here on our end regarding some odd rendering and will work on fixing that. thanks for all feedback and patience, and feel free to email me - clark at ranker dot com - if you see other weirdness (screenshot if possible) - we have done a bunch of work to add a bunch of new features (including allowing reranks to all be visible on the widget itself without needing to go to ranker.com), but there are often bugs in the first release. Again thanks for your patience here.

Awesome, @ClarkBenson! There's definitely some weirdness. The widget isn't loading at all for me on this page right now for me. Not sure if that's just me or not.

We have a nonexistent Ghost on the list -- 11/23/97.

Hartford 7-1-2000 takes it up ten notches and turns into a boiling tea kettle to close the show. Must hear. Also, Big Cypress Ghost was raging during the first set after Chief Jim Billy left the stage.

11/23/97 was real, I was there and the epic Gin madness of set II happened then too. No Ghost though.

My son is 4. He's already been subjected to plenty of Phish in the car. A few months ago, I was playing the Radio City Ghost and turned it off as we got home. He said "Why'd you turn that off?". He has never said that about any other Phish performance he has heard. A week or so ago, I listened to the 11/17/97 Ghost a few times in the car and he did not object when I turned it off. Is he devolving?

As per the Ghost song history on Phish.net:

In The Phish Book Trey referred to the 11/17/97 Denver “Ghost” as his favorite part of his favorite show from the fall tour, a show the band listened to many times, in a way influencing themselves.

I'll raise the stakes and say this: if you forced me to pick a favorite single song performance from phish's entire history, I would go 11/17/97 Ghost. That's the best way I can state my feelings on said version.

I agree with mfhendi on 7/1/97, idk why that hasn't even mentioned/added yet. Of course, I could add it in, if only my phone and computer weren't prohibiting me for some reason..

It's the first really great Ghost, completely blew away the previous six performances, and I think it trumped the 7/3 version for sure. It had all the right pieces to make history: downright funkness, ridiculous worm banter summoning the evil forces that would hang around for the following night, then shifting gears at the drop of a dime and leading into a few dreamy psychedelic movements, and finally a heavy closing section with Mike leading us home with a killer groove as Page and Fish pound away on their instruments of doom. Nobody got out of there alive, especially after that insidious Wormtown jam later in the run. This was arguably the jam (and show) of that tour, although I'm sure most would take the Stash from 7/2 mostly because that was monumental for that song as well, but I would still take this Ghost over it. Oh, and that was the show opener. Bananas. It was the first version that really answered their questions about where they could take that song.

I agree with almost everything on here. Totally agree that 7/23/97 Atlanta should be near the top of this list. That was supposed to be my first show, but didn't go till following year in Atl.

Anyway, I love all these Ghosts, but one of my favorite is not anywhere on here, but definitely deserves mention.

There weren't any versions this year that were particularly noteworthy, including that one, though I agree it was the best of the year so far.

Last year's Ghost on 9/2 at Dick's was pretty darn good.
