Tweezer

itsice88 I've listened to this jam (and most of 12/30/19 in general) countless times since they played it. When Phish plays something that excites everyone this much, oftentimes the sheen eventually wears off and a jam might lose its luster a bit.

This Tweezer simply does not. If anything, its intricacies are further revealed with every listen and its high quality becomes more and more revealed. This is a study on live group improvisation, a spectacular touchstone for the band in this particular era. It's a glorious moment in time, and what I truly consider to be one of the greatest jams the band has ever played.

This jam capped the only other full decade of Phish since the 90s and seemed to sum up my own journey seeing Phish consistently for the past ten years. I couldn't help but think that this was a true mountain top moment for me...something to sum up everything I've had the privilege of seeing from this band in 3.0. But this isn't just about me of course...this one was for us.

Viva la Phish.

phishcuitsandgravy I've been to every msg show since 1/2/2016, which had a pretty damn good tweezer as well. This is the best jam I've seen at msg, and they've dropped quite a few since that date. Hell, this is the best jam I've seen anywhere. The last 15 minutes of this jam is why I will never miss a phish show at the garden.

PlayingMantis The beautiful segment starting around 18 minutes and really taking form at 20 and ending around the 24 minute mark is what I think the ideal soundtrack to some imaginary perfectly satisfying and epic ending to Stranger Things would be. The rest of the jam is awesome too; love how pocket oriented it is and the woodblock usage.

n00b100 You think you’ve heard everything this band can throw at you from an improvisational standpoint, and then you hear the utterly gorgeous ambient-esque section of this all-star jam and you realize there’s still so much more ground left for them to cover. A truly special jam from one of the band’s truly special nights.
