The 11/13/98 Disease is a sweet version. The first 12-13 minutes or so are basically in the box: strong, Type I jamming, energetic and creative, but about what you'd expect from a Disease from this era. Then the jam gets quieter, but not dull. This clip is from the beginning of the final jam, which is what really sets this version apart: it's a joyful groove that explodes triumphantly back into the main Disease theme. Glorious.

That show also has a terrific Wolfman's (with MLB jam), a strong first set closing Antelope, and an extended, laid-back Meat--longest ever version, I believe.
I'm glad to see this DWD get some love. I was at this show -- ever since that night, I have never been able to get this week's MJM out of my head.
