@unoclay said: [quote]Sounds like a good time. I'd note for accuracy purposes or just to clarify, tickets to section 116 dont cost any more or less than seats in section 400 or whevever. Same price for all seats, Phish maintains this so the ticketing is as fair as possible. Maybe your mom was just surprised the seats were better than she expected?

He bought then via Stubhub some time in December, our original tickets were in the 200’s
Ouch. Stubhub scalped tickets? Paying over face....if possible, I recommend to ask your dad to try to avoid that in the future. Paying over face value isnt a good thing for anyone--the band asks us not to do it, and makes efforts to ensure all seats cost the same, in the interest of fairness. It also instills the scene with a sense of "everyone is equal", not "pay to play" like everything else in life.

Glad you had a good time though. 200s are fine seats, i spent NYE there myself. Stubhub is just greedy scalpers profiting off phish. Anyway glad you liked the show.[/quote

I’m not aware of the band ever telling their fans not to pay over face value for tickets. Not everyone scores in lottery or has a huge network of friends to draw on for tickets to hard shows. Give the moralizing a rest. You’re not this kid’s dad. All he tried to do was give his kid a top notch experience to a band he loves. This is America and telling people how to spend their money isn’t going to get you very far. Like it or not, Phïsh *does* provide tiered levels of concert experience, from CID travel packages to box seats at the garden. Finally, it’s simply not true that all seats cost the same unless the show is GA. Pretending otherwise is pure ostriching.
