MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 134

Welcome to the 134th running of the Mystery Jam here at Phish.net. As usual we will be playing for an MP3 download, courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. The rules haven't changed: you need to correctly identify the song and the date to win. Post your guess in the comments. One guess per person per day (with the second “day” starting after I post the hint). A hint will be posted on Tuesday (if necessary) and the answer will be posted on Wednesday. Good luck...

Thursday Answer: Congrats to ghostboogie for scoring his sixth MJ win with the 12/15/99 "Free." The Blog will be back on Monday with another MJ...

mcgrupp81 Nice ghostboogie. That jam smells of Tweezer. I'm relistening to 99 and I am about a week away from that Free.

tripples Did anyone else think this sounded a lot like Moma at first? That threw me. I figured it was fall 99 due to trey's mini-keyboard, so I first went to the jammy Moma from Hampton a couple nights after this. Then I realized, but not soon enough!

metawhy great F*&king pick!

I was going to say tweezer 12/16/99 but Free it is.

Yeah, it sounded like a fast Moma. '99 or '00.

Damn. Well done. It's been a while since I've heard this one(by a while, I mean 10+ years). Not even on my radar. Something about this seemed very 3.0 to me.

waxbanks really glad to be turned on to this fascinating little jam. 'free' long ago turned into a cue for me to reach for the fast-forward button; it just plods along without any pep in its step, and phish aren't exactly the nasty-strut kind of band...

but this one's just golden. nice.

Ravinus Great show. Not sure why they haven't been to DC since.
