MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 96

Welcome to the 96th installment of the Mystery Jam Monday at Phish.net. As usual, we will be playing for an MP3 download, courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. The rules haven't changed: you need to correctly identify the song and the date to win. Post your guess in the comments. One guess per person per day (with the second “day” starting after I post the hint). A hint will be posted on Tuesday (if necessary) and the answer will be posted on Wednesday. Good luck...

Wednesday Answer: Congrats to docgonzo1972 for quickly nailing the 7/4/00 Jibboo. These last few weeks have indeed been on the easier side, but every now and then the Blog likes to give someone other than the diehards a chance. Worry not, though, next week should be more challenging. See you all on Monday...

kipmat Well done, docgonzo. I had been thinking DWD or Ghost, 98-00, but definitely summer tour.

Fitz2001 I finally know one, I'm an hour late, and it's from my first show.

uctweezer Dammit, I could have figured this one out... it's definitely a 2000 Jibboo (you can tell by Mike's bassline) that I haven't heard which narrows it down a little bit, but I trust those above who instareplied that it's the July 4th version.

andrewrose Yeah, the last 1/3 of that 30 minute 7/4/00 Jiboo gets all First Tube-y. Jam is a bit of a pastiche though, like a lot of those 2000 ones were. Similar mountain energy to a lot of the best 99 ones at times, but kind of a missing a bit of magic somehow. Not that I wouldn't kill to hear something like this in June..

Penn42 The blog's been picking some pretty big jams lately. I wasn't able to identify this, but I knew I'd heard it before and immediately knew @docgonzo1972 was right when I read his answer. If the blog ever wants to win again they're gonna have to get more obscure than 8.7.09 Sally or Bowie's -> Cities -> Bowie or this. Just sayin'...

runawayJame @andrewrose, I noticed this recently as well during the replay of this show on TT, good call.
