MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 58

Time for the Mystery Jam, bury the Mystery Jam, take out the Mystery Jam time... As usual, we will be playing for an MP3 download courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. The rules haven't changed: you need to correctly identify the song and the date to win. Post your guess in the comments. One guess per person per day (with the second “day” starting after I post the hint). The hint will come on Tuesday and the answer will be posted on Wednesday. Good luck...

Tuesday Hint: No hint needed this week...

Wednesday Answer: Congrats to RebeldyNugs on his fifth win with the 7/22/03 "Gumbo." See you all next Monday....

yep, i feel a special kind of dirty for having first crack at and swinging and missing on a) a deer creek mystery jam b) one of probably the top 3 jams i saw from '03-'04. nice work.

well guys, if you like this gumbo, don't miss the sneaking sally from the next night. it also travels through some nice dark funky realms.

andrewrose Yup, 7/22/30 Gumbo. 2003 was such a great year. Definitely the highlight of this show, though the Divided Sky that followed is also stellar, and the Split Open and Melt is pretty hot, too.

WayIFeel Yup. Gumbo. One day I'll actually win this thing.

Hey you jumped the gun and had a good feeling about it, I would've done the same thing.
Yeah this Gumbo is pretty freakin' sweet and I was 99% sure it was a 2003 show from the minute I played the jam but I was shocked that the blog tried to fool us by putting a jam from a show 3 days before last weeks' jam...nonetheless, it was this down right dirty Gumbo. I agree w/ someone else here who said to check the SOAM too from Set II as it cooks.
People can say all they want of Phish 2.0 or PH but I seem to go back to listen to MANY jams from that time. They were sloppy sure but they would jam the hell out of anything!

MiguelSanchez ^yeah, i had a blast at that deer creek run. perhaps, my fun was aided by the fact that my old tour buddy that had moved to colorado promised me a most excellent surprise. i was expecting nuggets, but that's hardly a surprise. he showed up with seats in the first 2 rows for all 3 nights, front row for the 1st and 3rd....good times!

not to mention, good jams all over this run- tweezer> 2001, gumbo, sally, dwd> coil, carini> magilla....

RabeldyNugs ^ Now that's what I call a most excellent surprise! Sweetness. I actually had to jump off tour during the 7-18-03 Alpine show bc my father was dying of cancer and I left the show during the DWD's chorus of "This has all been wonderful but now I'm on my way...". Let's just say that that was one of my longest drives of my life, solo, back home to Boston. So I missed those shows and I even missed IT(never even heard the audio), which is when my dad died, 8-2-03, during the ambient soundcheck @ 1am.
Didn't mean to ramble and bring down anyone but as you could tell, that time is still fresh in my mind...
